Find the word hiding between two clues

Every WordPool puzzle hides one word that connects a clue on the left with a clue on the right — forming a compound word or well-known phrase with each.

STEEL – DRUM – ROLL
STEEL DRUM · DRUM ROLL

Each side shows three clues, but only one on each side is the real connection. The other two are red herrings — plausible-looking words that lead nowhere.

1
Look at both sides. Three clues on the left, three on the right. Only one on each side connects to the hidden word.
2
Guess the connecting word. Type a word you think bridges one left clue and one right clue.
3
Watch the frog. A correct guess sends her hopping safely across. A wrong guess sends her back to try again — from a lily pad a little closer to the whirlpool.
4
You have four guesses. Get it wrong four times, and the current sweeps her away.

A new puzzle appears every day. No two days repeat.
